Double Eagles
Remarkable how well the cemetery takes care of this sculpture, it looks new all of the time. It greets you as us come in the main drive, just in front of the wall with the cemetery name.
Information from the SIRIS website is as follows;
Description:
A pair of eagles balanced atop each other on a wave-like form. The bottom eagle is on its back, with wings spread outward and upward. It is grasping at a fish held in the talons of the upper eagle, whose wings extend upward and whose white tail feathers are fanned. Both eagles are brown with white heads. The work stands on an octagonal base.
