Mural of palm trees, a beach, and a large wave by Roger Whiting at the entrance to the pool of the Redwood Recreation Center Painted from June 2009 to July 2009. Style of painting inspired by Polynesian art (specifically inspired by the triangle patterns I saw in the drawings of a Polynesian student I had in one of my middle school classes). Painting assistants on the project: Marilee Whiting, Erik Draper, and Ayne Velasquez.
