This Anchor was one of the four used to secure the cooling water culvert inspection barge during the construction of Marsden "B" Power Station.
The Anchor was lost in February 1980 when the line snapped during a huge swell. Several years later the anchor re-emerged out of the sand close to the shore and was recovered by ECNZ staff
