There are two plaques dedicated on this monument. One dates from 1949, the second from 1999.

The 1949 plaque reads:

Erected to honour the Pioneer Settlers. The men and women whose vision, faith and toil fashioned our heritage. 1899 - 1949.

The 1999 plaque reads:

This plaque records at Easter 1999 descendants of those pioneers and subsequent settlers celebrated 100 years of this land fulfilling the promise. 1899 - 1999.
