A few miles outside of Philomath is this bell. While it is in view, it's one purpose is to summon the faithful, as has been done with similar bells for centuries. This wonderful little church likes things the old fashioned way, with stained glass instead of acrylics, and this bell instead of any electronic aids. While the bell is less than 20 feet above the ground, the claim is that it can be heard for miles.
