The Key Route was a public transportation system that served the East Bay and San Francisco areas of the Bay Area. The trains ran from 1900s to the 1960s. The trains left the Piedmont area and went across the Bay Bridge to San Francisco. The system also served Emeryville, and Berkeley and other surrounding cities.
