Breakthrough by Edwina Sandys (Granddaughter of Winston Churchill) is constructed of eight pieces measuring a total of 11 by 32-foot of the Berlin Wall from near the Brandenburg Gate. The particular pieces of the Wall were selected for their colorful graffiti and the repeated word "unwahr" meaning lies or untruths. The location of the sculpture is on the campus of Westminster College, where Winston Churchill gave his famous "Iron Curtain" speech in 1946. The sculpture was dedicated by President Ronald Reagan on November 9, 1990, one year after the fall of the Berlin Wall which occurred November 9, 1989.
