This building is currently undergoing rehab. It was built around 1885 and has a weird outer facade which belies its true age. It is probably the most unusual building with the upper portion made of different material than the bottom. There is a neat arch and a cool little basement door. There was also a fence around it so it was kind of hard to get good pictures. Someone must of had the foresight to preserve this building in the early 70s amid the decay and destruction. It is a wonder it still stands.

The building was lived in by Dr. H. Genet Taylor and his family from about 1885 to 1959. Agnes Draper lived here from the 40s to the 50s (exact dates unknown). I am pretty sure it is vacant today. I am 99% certain this property was bought by Rutgers University.

I also found this on the secondary site listed below. In 1885 Dr. Taylor had built a home on Cooper Street, designed by prominent Philadelphia architect Wilson Ayre, at 305-307 Cooper Street. This house, as part of the Cooper Street Historic District, was added in 1989 to the National Register of Historic Places.
