On a house in Villarmond in Val Chisone is an Zarbula original painted in 1872. The paint is faded but I consider this to be an excellent example of Zarbula's art annd style. This original makes the repainting of nearby Zarbula dials look so amaturish. Even in his later years, over 40 years later than his first signed sundials, Zarbula was an artist.

This is a morning dial declining to the east. Zarbula’s style is evident with the flower pots, a bird, equatorial line, frame, curtains etc. Beside the bird are a faint date 1872 and the initials ZGF. The motto is faded but seems to say something like "SOL FUGIENS SEMLL HORAVINL", perhaps "The sun passes like the hours".
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
