This 1995 sculpture was created by Buffalo born artist Billie Lawless under the support of the Cleveland Public Theater. The sculpture was very unpopular with Michael White, the mayor of Cleveland at the time and was placed in a low-visibility area on Cleveland's Chester Avenue at East 66th Street. Recently, the scuplture has moved west along Chester Avenue to a new and permanent home on the campus of Cleveland State University. The scuplture stands in a green space to the north of the School of Business.
The sculpture is 40 feet tall and is enclosed in a 40 foot by 50 foot wrought iron fence with writing along the top. The scuplture features many moving features such as two large yellow pencils turning endlessly near the base. A large mouth of the "politician" repeatedly opens and closes while glittering bands shimmer on each side of the "head"
