Marker Text:
Site of Federal Inn, erected about 1754. George Washington, with military escort, was a guest here, October, 1794, when on his way to muster an armed force to suppress the Whiskey Rebellion.
I can find no info on the Federal Inn. I know I've heard people talk about it on some of our local shows. And General George Washington slept here, but then again, where didn't he rest his weary bones????
To log your find take a pic of you laying at the sign, so you can be just like George. Just kidding, you can stand!!!
