The present church of St.Cuthbert's dates from the early 13th century,with additions from the 16th.century.
The church seating which consists of Box pews were added in 1819 and the very large East window was fitted in 1868.
The website listed below shows amongst other information the churches proud links with 2 American astronauts who walked on the moon,the late Col. B Irwin (Appolo 15) and Gen.Charles Duke (Appolo 16) who have visited the parish and preached here at St.Cuthbert's.
The village of Over Kellet has a population of under 1000,and has won an award for Britain's best kept village.
