This is a boiler-plate memorial found to the left of the main entrance about 5 feet off of the ground. 95% of our stations have these affordable memorials. Like all the rest, donated by the Ladies Fire Auxiliary. Unlike the rest, there is no date.

Small town fire department located in the center of town. They have been in their present location since 1974. A separate bay off to the left is for an EMS vehicle. This is an all volunteer fire company.

Woodlynne Fire Company #1 was organized on October 18,1920. They are a all volunteer department serving 2500 residents withina 1/4 square mile. This two engine fire company shares space in the rear (or the front depending on your perspective) with the municipal building. The town's lone NRHP site also sits to the rear. A small firefighter memorial is attached to the front. The station sits back from the main drag and is flanked on either side by one-way roads, each going in opposing directions. It is an interesting but a dangerous set-up especially if you are a pedestrian. Cars really whiz by so exercise caution.
