This tree is dedicated to the memory of Freeholder Aletha R. Wright on October 18, 1994 by the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, City of Camden Mayor & Council, City of Camden 4-H Clubs and Camden City Garden Club.

June 16th, 1992 this area was rededicated. The tree is very, very small so I'd wager this is not the original tree. It appears to be a Japanese Maple but it was hard to tell as the leaves were off when I visited. The tree is in a raised box made of marble or possible granite which is sitting on a landing of the same material. it is almost surreal to see this tree extending out of all this polished, flat stone. There are two plaques on either side of the raised box. When explains the name of this place, Roosevelt Plaza, and the dedication information (see picture). The other is a condensed version of this waymark.

Location of the tree: City Hall Building Entrance

Type of tree: Japanese Maple
