Located near Ripley, this bridge is a 169-foot Smith truss built in 1875, replacing an earlier iron bridge. It was a twin to the Eagle Creek Covered Bridge upstream on State Route 763, also built in 1875 by the same company. The bridge was rehabilitated in 1965. A monstrous flood in March, 1997 heavily damage the North Pole Bridge, and destroyed its upstream twin. North Pole Covered Bridge is an excellent example of a long single-span bridge.
