Originally Lakeshore Park, this beautiful park is located on the east side of Lake Hefner Parkway, at Lakeshore Drive and Kerry Ln. There is a great view of Lake Hefner, a nice playground, and a biking/walking trail along the perimeter of the park, a really nice feature for the kids! There are several benches and a very large grassy area for all sorts of games.
At the City of Village council meeting on April 17, 2007, Item XI, the council voted to rename Lakeshore Park "Wayne Schooley Park" in honor of Mr. Schooley's service to the City of the Village. All members voted yah except Mr. Schooley voted nay.
