OA0833 - USCGS AZI MK BRUSHY, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This Azimuth Mark is located in the south end of the Hwy. 101 Patterson Bridge across the Rogue River. The cap is set on top of the railing post at the SE corner of the bridge. The azimuth mark cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1942 and was marked BRUSHY. There is a second cap in the sidewalk about 3 feet to the west (BM B286).

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 1.1 KM (0.70 MI) NORTH FROM GOLD BEACH. 1.1 KM (0.70 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 101 FROM THE COURTHOUSE IN GOLD BEACH, IN THE CENTER OF THE SOUTH END OF THE EAST CONCRETE GUARDRAIL OF THE HIGHWAY BRIDGE SPANNING THE ROGUE RIVER, AND 7.1 M (23.3 FT) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE MARK IS 1.0 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
