The small town of Alton Bay sits at the extreme southern tip of Lake Winnipesaukee and is a popular summer destination . The M/S Mount Washington docks here giving tours or the lake, and the waters are filled with boats of every type. In the winter ice fishing huts dot the lake. This is also the location for the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center.
