Mark is a brass disk sent in the top of an metal pipe which projects approximately 30 inches above the ground. The mark is located in the
King County Grand Ridge Park. You can start your hike at either the Central Park, South Pond, Coal Mine or High Point trail heads. A park map with hiking trails can be found
here.
The mark is approximately 100 feet to the NNW of the
Grand Ridge Coal Mine geocache (GC1VVY) The cache page has some detailed history and old photos of the mine.
Remember to exercise caution when around any abandoned coal mine.
