This tower is located on the summit of Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in Alabama. The elevation of the summit is 2407 feet. The tower was constructed in the 1930s out of rock quarried from the top of the mountain by the Civil Conservation Corps. This structure is usually kept unmanned and unlocked. The observation deck is enclosed with glass windows. There are views in all directions. A weather vane sits on top. A television mast is located adjacent to the tower. The tower can be visited during all times of the year.
