The Songkhla Aquarium is the newest, and one of the best tourist attractions in the small, but not overly tourist oriented southern Thai town of Songkhla. As the name suggests, the town is also the capital of the province.
Outside the main entrance to the aquarium is this large double fountain, which contains a large, artificial whale, and a rotating sign! I suspect that during non-school days it is a popular draw with locals, particularly children. There are lots of other activities on site: including a mini-racing car track, kayaking, and so forth. Certainly worth a look if you are in the area.
There are a few other water features on the grounds, but this is the only site worthy of being designated a 'fountain'.
