This view is along the trail that leads up out of Spider Meadows and keeps heading off through the mountains. It's located in a pass called "Spider Gap." To get to Spider Gap one has to climb Spider Glacier which is a very extreme climb. Without proper shoes this climb is miserable. Slipping, falling, steep hill, slow progress. It can take over an hour to get to Spider Gap and makes a person wonder why they decided it was a good idea to go up there. Then there is the view. Lyman Lake flowing from Lyman glacier is the first thing that is noticed followed by the surrounding meadow and mountains in the distance. We sat up here for an hour or so enjoying the view. This is a hike people camping in Spider Meadow or anywhere near by need to do!
The photos provided are nothing compared to this massive panorama I created of the place. Click Here<a\> for the panorama located on Photosynth.
