On the east side of Clinton's Central Park (town common) stands a monument. This monument is dedicated to the men from the town who died in the Spanish-American War. Atop this monument is a soldier, western-style dress, mid-stride, gun over his shoulder. Bellow him is the main part of the monument. On each side is a plaque, depicting an event or account from the war some with quotes or images. On the front, along the bottom are the words: SPANISH WAR VETERANS.
