Margarethenpark is a municipal park at the South border of Basel; the city of Basel is the owner of the property, but it is in fact located on the soil of the neighboring community Binningen.

It was originally created as a private garden area by a wealthy citizen in 1823 and bought by the city and made public in 1897.

There are a tennis lawn in the West and an ice rink in the Southeast.
