The farmstead consists of a farmhouse, four barns and other outbuildings. The barns all predate the 1930's along with the farmhouse.
The highlight of the farmstead is the unique U-shaped barn (unfortunately my photo of it does not show its shape well). The barn was designed Joseph E. Wing of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and was completed in 1901. There were other barns of his design built in Ohio and Illinois but this U-shaped barn is thought to be the only one remaining. The barn has recently been stabilized and restored.
The farmhouse is a Craftsman style house built in 1914. The farmhouse is now a bed & breakfast.

When visiting a waymark, please take pictures that clearly show the barn and any implements, animals or other farm-related items that might be visible. This category can be as much about creative photography as the actual building itself.
Tell us about your visit. Is this the first time you saw this barn? Did you make a special trip to 'visit' this waymark? Are you a 'country mouse' or 'city mouse'?
