Such shrines are a standard feature of businesses in Thailand, indicating one's piety, respect for tradition, and social status.
The Pattaya Centre Hotel is, appropriately enough, situated near the centre of Pattaya Bay, just off the water. Easy to see as you walk down soi 12, ready for another day sitting on the beach watching the world pass by.
This shine is large, and attractive, and in a prominent location. It is the hotel shrine, where staff, guests and passerbys can pay their respects, and wish for luck. It is situated on the footpath, near the hotel entrance.
