Actual construction began in the summer of 2000, and the permanent campus opened for the start of the fall semester on Aug. 27, 2001. It operated under the direction of Dr. Mary Griffith, who in July 1999 had been named PCC’s Vice President for what then was called the Fremont County Center. Official dedication ceremonies for the Fremont Campus were held on Nov. 2, 2001. The campus contains classrooms, laboratories, a library and administrative offices; importantly, the classrooms are interactive and can be linked to remote sites.
For 75 years, Pueblo Community College (PCC) has provided the education and training that gives our students the skills they need to qualify for good jobs or to transfer to a four-year school. We are a two-year community college accredited by The Higher Learning Commission - a member of the North Central Association - and we are a member of the Colorado Community College System, the fastest-growing educational system in Colorado.
