Marker Name: The Natural Bridge
Marker Text: You are now standing above the inlet where the Rogue River disappears into a lava tube, taking 35 seconds to travel 200 feet to the tube’s outlet.
Although the river normally flows through the lava tube, seasonal flooding may cause it to cover the Natural Bridge.
Can you see water spraying up from the “blow-holes” in the surface of the Natural Bridge? These small openings hint of the turbulent nature of the hidden river.
