Our local ghost research organization, South Jersey Ghost Research, travels around to public, private and historic area and investigate claims of paranormal activity. They use lots of fancy, complicated equipment and technology and present such compelling evidence as floating and fleeting orbs, voices (EVPs - Electronic Voice Phenomena) and other spooky stuff. The following comes from the investigation page from this site.

The Historic Quaker Friends Meeting house was built in 1775 and is still in use today. During the Revolutionary War the built was requisitioned by both sides at various times and was literally caught in the crossfire during the Battle of Ironworks Hill. It was used by the Hessians as a headquarters and by the colonial army as a commissary. We believe that most of what we encountered here was simply residual energy left by the past events but there were a few instances that indicate that there may be a spirit or two here which is not at all uncommon in a house of worship.

I have often thought if all the existing 18th century meeting houses were placed side by side, one would be unrecognizable from the next. The Quakers definitely lived up to the simplicity principal as evident in their architectural honesty and their ghost seem to be equally benign. The Meetinghouse is on High Street in the center of the historic town of Mt. Holly.
