This is a fun park for the kiddos since it has some unique play equipment like tunnels and helicopter rider. It's located in a residential area near UCO, so it's not usually very crowded considering mostly college students live nearby.

Charles E. Johnson Park
Charles E. Johnson (1915-1974) moved to Edmond in 1949 where he owned the Cimarron Oil Construction Company and was active in the petroleum industry. He supported the Y.M.C.A. and its various youth programs, and was involved in the Arabian Horse Association.
Charles E. Johnson served as Edmond's Mayor from 1965-1967. He was a leader in water development and early supporter of Arcadia Lake. As Mayor, he was instrumental in getting Edmond Memorial Hospital built and opened in July 1967, as well as organizing the Edmond Urban Renewal Authority. He was named Edmond Citizen of the Year for 1973. Johnson Park, constructed by Urban Renewal, was named in his honor in October, 1974, by the City Council and was dedicated the following November.
