A little way outside of Oamaru is this quiet and rather beautiful spot for a 20-minute walk. Set in a natural sinkhole, this small lake has a an interesting rock formation on each side that resemble bridge abutments, hence the name.

Today you can enter into this private property as under the QEII Open Spaces Covenant and observe the black swans that nest here, as well as looking at the drainage stream flow into a rock crevice and underground.

As this is private property please respect all the signs placed by the property owner to ensure public access into the future.
