This "THE" place in town and they have the honors to prove it. In April 2009, they won the Governor's Green Chile Cheeseburger Challenge, beating 19 other, and becoming a wait-in-line burger joint.

As to exactly what that burger is, its called the Millie Burger, after the owners mother, and features two 1/3 lb patties of choice hamburger cooked to perfection, topped with Cheddar cheese and mounds of Hatch Green Chile, bacon, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and onion.

If want to taste the best, and are taking a road trip that follows Historic Route 66, Badland's Burgers is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. They seat approximately 35, and of course, everything is cooked to order.

They are open 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Saturday, but if you go on Sunday you'll be out of luck, because they are closed Sunday's.
