This long narrow park is dedicated to the son of Comanche chief Peta Nocona and European American woman Cynthia Ann Parker, and the last chief of the Quahadi Comanche Indians.

Fort Worth has 228 public parks for a total of 10,743.75 acres of which 9,824.73 acres are developed for active use. Of the 190 active parks, 130 parks were classified as Neighborhood Parks with a total of 1,570.38 acres. The average size is 12.08 acres. The remaining acreage is held in reserve until population growth warrants development.
The West Fork of the Trinity River flows through this park, and there's a concrete bike trail that wraps around the park and leads off to Gateway Park, a mile and a half away.
