The memorial is a tall triangular shaped black granite monument. The monument has a bronze eagle with spread wing standing on top. The monument is inscribed:

Hale County Veterans Memorial
Lest We Forget

In Honor Of All Who Served And
In Memory of Those Whose Names
Appear On This Monument

On the other two sides it is inscribed with lists of servicemen who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
