This benchmark is located on Rim Drive at Crater Lake N.P., about 0.1 miles east of Pinnacles Junction at the Phantom Ship Overlook. The benchmark is set in a boulder about 10 feet north of the north end of the low rock wall at the overlook. The cap was set by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1940 and was marked NO 22, 6755 feet. It appears that the boulder the cap is set in may have been moved, since the cap is on a sloping surface.
