This elevation mark is located on Rim Drive at Crater Lake N.P., about 10.6 miles east of North Junction at the Grotto Cove viewpoint. The elevation mark is set in the top of the low rock wall of the viewpoint, near the north end. The cap was probably set by the BPR in 1937, since two similar caps are dated 1937. Similar unmarked BPR caps occur at many viewpoints along Rim Drive.
