In the center of Norwood, where Washington Street intersects with Nahatan Street, is a rectangular green space known as the Norwood Town Common.

The town common is across Nahatan Street from the Norwood Memorial Municipal Building, a stone building with a square bell tower. The Town common has a gazebo in the center, and six paths radiating from it: four that go to each corner, and two that run between the midpoints of the long side of the common.

On the corner with Washington Street and Nahatan Street is a statue that is a memorial to the military services.

No sign for the park was seen, though it is a typical 'town common' in appearance and location.

In the summers, concerts are given from or near the gazebo. Bands include swing bands, jazz, and community bands. Following is a link to the 2009 schedule: (visit link)
