The observatory
is located on the Northern Oklahoma College
campus. The NOC Astronomy Research Center is located right next door. They allow
the public to view the sun, moon and stars along with offering a barbecue grill
and picnic tables close by so your group can make a day or night of astronomy.
Leonardo's
Discovery Warehouse hosts a fund-raising opportunity for local elementary
schools called "Leonardo's
Nights." Every Tuesday evening during the school year local schools or
PTA can reserve the hands-on children's museum on a first-come, first-served
basis and earn money for their school. "Leonardo's Night" will include
full access to the museum for two hours from 6-8 p.m. for all students, faculty,
family and friends of the designated school at a cost of $2 per person. Fifty
percent of the $1 per person admission price will immediately go back to the
sponsoring school or PTA. Leonardo's
Discovery Warehouse is a hands-on
arts and sciences museum located in downtown Enid,
OK. Don't forget to visit the Museum
of the Cherokee Strip.
