Long Description:
From the Rogersville walking tour information:
"The land was purchased after 1885 by the Board of Missions for Freedmen of the campus of Swift Memorial Junior College. St. Mark's Presbyterian Church was chartered in Tennessee on May 15, 1912. Dr. W. H. Franklin, president of Swift College, served as pastor of the church until his retirement." link

The church dissolved in summer 2002. The church sanctuary appears to be vacant, but the other facilities are being used as an arts center.
