In the center of Norwood, at the corner of Washington Street and Nahatan Street is the Norwood Memorial Municipal Building, which has a tall bell tower as the tallest feature. Under this tower is an archway that leads to the Nahatan Street entrance to the town hall. In this entranceway, embeded in the walkway is a metal rose compass. The center of the bronze design has an 16 point compass. An arrow is superimposed over the compass and points over the "N" (North). Along the outer edge there is a pattern that looks like rope, then a vine with grapes. The letters, "W" and "E" are visible. "S" is covered by the back end of the arrow.
