This elevation mark is located along the old East Entrance Road to Crater Lake Nat. Park, about 1.4 miles NW of junction with the old Hwy 97 alignment. The mark is about 30 feet SW of road centerline on bank about 5 feet above road. The elevation mark was set by the USDA Bureau of Public Roads in 1928 and was marked NO-3077-6, 5167 feet.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1931. ABOUT 1.4 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 232 FROM THE JUNCTION OF THE DALLES-CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY (U.S. 97), KLAMATH COUNTY, 28 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND ON A BANK ABOUT 5 FEET HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY. A UNITED STATES BUREAU OF PUBLIC ROADS STANDARD DISK, STAMPED 5167 3077 6 1928 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.
