From the inventory: "The memorial consists of a marble exedra, in the center of which is a bronze sculpture of an angel standing in front of a Celtic cross. The angel is flanked by two kneeling angels, carved in relief in the marble exedra wall.
Businessman Lloyd Tevis, along with his brother-in-law, James Ben Ali Haggin, and George Hearst, at one time owned much of the gold, silver, and copper mining property in the western U.S. In the early 1870s, he became the president of Wells Fargo Bank, eventually expanding the institution to 2,830 bank offices worldwide. The memorial was designed by architect John Galen Howard and the standing angel was created by Herbert Adams."
