Said to be the largest rocking chair in the world by the locals. (It is definitely the largest in Colorado.) It might be the heaviest in the world.

This is said to be Colorado's largest rocking chair. Not quite the largest in the world, but is definitely the largest in Colorado. According to the sign on the chair it stands 21 feet tall and weighs 9'100 pounds. It was hand-hewn from Douglas fir logs and built in 1990.


Sadly Doxie's Apple Barn is no longer in business so you can only look at the chair through the fence. Roadside America lists this chair Visit Link and it is compared on Texas Twisted to the Star of Texas Rocker Visit Link

Would have loved to sit in that seat.
