IN HONOR OF THE MEN OF CHEROKEE COUNTY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN WORLD WARS I AND II (Names are listed) ERECTED BY LEATH – RAINS POST 4652 VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS – 1950 (Note: Leath and Rains are listed in the names)

Description of Memorial:
The memorial is a bronze tablet on a sandstone pedestal. It is located on the left of the walk leading to the Cherokee County Courthouse. On the right side of the walk is a memorial to the Confederate veterans from Cherokee County. We were geocaching when we found the memorial.
