Located near the Tar River in Louisburg's Joyner Park, The Cypress Scout Trail is a 1.5 mile nature trail that winds through the northern end of the park property. As you may have surmised a stand of cypress trees can be seen as you traverse the trail. The posted coordinates coincide with the trailhead of the paved 4/10 mile River View Loop walking trail.
There are two parking lots but the posted parking coordinates will place you closer to the nature trail while the loop trail is quickly accessed from either parking lot.
