Young's opened in 1948, and the mural on the side of the building shows a scenes from its history. Unfortunately the stucco base is not holding up to well, with many cracks showing and the base paint fading somewhat. Also its southern exposure has not helped. In a way it mirrors much of Route 66, in that it is a somewhat faded remnant of its glorious past.
