Palm Trees - Nanaimo, BC - Artistically Decorated Utility Boxes on Waymarking.com

This utility box features a scene of palm trees and a pirate. The city's former mayor was a colourful figure who dressed up on occasion, particularly at the annual Bathtub Race. He also insisted on planting a few palm trees in one of the city parks. They are still alive many years later, although they do have to be wrapped in burlap over the winter.
