This Multi-war memorial is located on the west side of the town square in Roodhouse, Illinois. It spans wars and conflicts from 1812-2001.
It is built of brick, mortar, steel, and glass. It is in very good repair. There are seven flagpoles in front of the memorial. One for all branches of services, the United States, and one for the MIA.
It is in need of some updating of names. There is no seperation of the dates of the wars or conflicts. Sometimes it got to be a little confusing of what era I was looking at.
The memorial has a cannon dated 1918 standing guard as you come upon the memorial.

I found this memorial while out waymarking in west central Illinois. I come to dicover the small towns usually have a memorial of some kind. So I try to find the square of these towns.
