The chapel, inspired by Gothic country chapels in England, was designed by George MacDougall. The chapel is on Alemeda Circle o the ground of the Veterans Home. The site is now California Veterans Museum. There's a nice path out front with the names of people who helped with the chapel's upkeeping.
