Aquia Church which sits on a quiet, wooded hilltop near busy Rt. 1 in Stafford, was completed in 1757 after a fire destroyed the interior in 1755 while it was under construction. This historic church and cemetery has managed to survive fire, occupation and desecration during the Civil War, and encroaching development to retain many of its original architectural features.

The posted coordinates point to the location of the set of photos taken from the front of the church. Two more sets of photos are included in this series:

  • South side of the church
    • N 38° 27.865 W 077° 24.178
  • Entrance at south side
    • N 38° 27.871 W 077° 24.181
